"A wonderfully restorative evening. A relatively small group this evening but most relaxing and pleasant, as ever. Despite not feeling 100% herself, Julie didn’t allow her own discomfort affect the practice. It was calming and just what was needed to prepare us for the hectic run up to Christmas. It certainly delivered just that. Not that there was any pressure and each individual was directed according to need and ability. It was lovely to see both regular and new faces. Everyone comfortable in each other’s company and in between there were some laughs and lighthearted moments. No one left stressed but everyone left refreshed. So thank you Julie, once again for a lovely evening of yoga. That 2hours just flies by, well worth the effort to go out on such a cold, miserable evening. "I had an hour and a half's treatment which included a back, neck and shoulder massage/stomach massage and facial. Julie mixed three essential oils consisting of cardamom, May Cheng and ginger. They smelt divine! The treatment was extremely relaxing and soothing. Julie is an amazing therapist and I look forward to trying new treatments in the future- Bowen technique and Kinesiology to name two of them. Julie treats the person as a whole and takes time to find out what you want from the treatment and will find the correct therapy to suit. I would not go anywhere else - she is the best. "As someone who is peri-menpausual i have been looking for something holistic to help for a while. Having been a frequent member of Julies Yogi’s for a while when this workshop popped up I signed up straight away. We started off with tea and biscuits and introduced ourselves sharing a bit of our menopause stories. The group started giggling straight away and we could all empathise with each other’s struggles. Julie then led us through various techniques to try out at home to ease some of the symptoms and stay centred and balanced, These were easy to do and were all recorded in a booklet to take home. This session was followed by a blissful hour of restorative yoga. I’ve been trying out some of the techniques this week already and feel better for it. It’s great to feel empowered to welcome this new phase of my life rather than fear it and struggle along. I would highly recommend coming along to the next one, even if you have never tried yoga before. Julie is a fantastic teacher, so caring, friendly and authentic. You won’t regret it. ?" "I had a pregnancy massage 6 years ago and remember really enjoying it. I wasn't sure whether I had imagined it was better than it actually was but thought it was worth trying another one this time around. Was I disappointed? Definitely not, it was Amazing. "I had a back, neck and shoulder massage with a Tibetan head massage. Julie used a mixture of frankincense, juniper and lemon oils. The massage was amazing - so relaxing and just what I needed. "I had such an amazing experience at my kinesiology session with Julie! I was a bit nervous at first as I didn't really know much about kinesiology or what would happen, but Julie soon put me at ease with her calm and practical manner. She also talked me through what she was doing and why, which really helped too. "This is the first class of this kind I have attended and it won’t be the last. At first I felt like I should be moving onto the next Adana but the idea is to release yourself into the pose and just totally relax. Once you get the hang of this it is sooooo good. "The "new room" is certainly working its magic! New faces at classes but all with a common aim....to enjoy the yoga sessions run by Julie! Each class has its own limitations and diverse yogis but everyone present enjoys a level of achievement relevant to their individual needs and abilities. "I very much appreciated the lovely calm approach and help offered during this yoga session, I do have a knee and shoulder problem, and although the stretching was difficult for me and had to opt out of some of the yoga positions, I feel that the yoga is good for me and am looking forward to my next session. "Change of time, changed venue, change of fellow yogis....same great experience, same great teacher! It was lovely to "workout" in the new studio and lovely to be back after the holiday break too! "It was chilly outside but after a few guided moves we soon warmed up! This particular class was a good mix of abilities, age and gender....but an equally relaxing and beneficial time was experienced by all under the expert and enthusiastic teaching of Julie. No one is made it feel uneasy or unable to follow her programme. Everyone is sure to leave relaxed and energised. I personally find the classes beneficial, uncomplicated, relaxing and I thoroughly enjoy the overall ambiance within the group. "When looking for a Kinesiologist there were a few to choose from, some local to me and some not. I called Julie to have a chat and knew straight away that I wanted to see her for my first taste of Kinesiology. I was so glad to have taken the time to look around, Julie was fantastic, I took my partner along to have a session too and Julie was so welcoming to us both, nothing was too much trouble. I ask a lot of questions to gain knowledge of whatever I do and at no point did I get the feeling that my questions were a pain. "I arrived for my appointment feeling quite stressed. Julie is lovely, a good listener and explained the treatment as we went along. "The workshop was informative, interesting and good fun. I learned so much about essential oils which I regularly use in my diffuser. But the fun bit was trying to identify different oils just by their smell. We were each given a strip of paper which had been dipped into an oil. My success rate was poor but I enjoyed it. Then we chose a combination of our favourite 3 oils to mix with a cream to make a hand cream and a body lotion. We also made a bath oil. It was an excellent evening enjoyed by all of us." "I received Bowen treatment on Thursday 14th December after having pain in my upper back and shoulders. Having had Bowen from Julie previously I knew the benefits of the treatment. Julie is such a dedicated practitioner her touch itself is enough to relax you to receive the healing Bowen treatment. Three days on and the benefits are really kicking in and I feel so much better I can turn my head with much less discomfort and I feel less tense and more in tune with my body. Like past experiences the healing continues for about 10 days. I cannot recommend Julie too highly. If you are suffering back problems please give Bowen treatment with Julie a try.
